Margarita Cocktail Recipe

Brief History

Several stories claim that the Margarita was created, but it is still something of a mystery as to where it began. Most of the experts agree that it came from the 1930s or 1940s at the Mexico and the USA´s border. There is no knowing where the Margarita came from, but it soon became a recognised tequila cocktail.

Ingredients

  1. Triple Sec: Cointreau or Grand Marnier (orange flavor liqueur).
  2. Lime Juice: Only freshly squeezed can give you the best flavor.
  3. Sweetener: Agave syrup or simple syrup (optional taste).
  4. Salt: For rimming the glass.
  5. Garnish: A lime wheel or wedge.

Lets Make!

Welcome back to another one of my daily recipe blog. The Last Word cocktail it’s the first time I’ve tried it it’s had a big Resurgence in the last four to 5 years due to a bartender over in the states came from prohibition time I’ll leave a card somewhere up here with a link to it so you can check it out today I’m going to show you how to make a merger reader so we’re going to start with the salt Rim so this is up to up to you really it’s just completely Personal Taste I don’t particularly like salt on any of my drinks but uh for the sake of the blog.

I’m just going to show you how to do it so you just want to wet the rim of the glass and then just roll that in the salt till it’s well coated till it’s nice and even give it a tap to just knock off any excess as you can see there that looks pretty even to me so I’ll actually I’ll drop a cube in that and set that aside to start chilling it so now we want to grab our cocktail shaker and measure up 45 M of tequila a lot of recipes called for Blanco tequila personally.

I just prefer Rosado and for those that are looking to buy some new pores uh look into the Uber bow or Pro flow pores these things are amazing they got such a perfect stream when it comes out of the as you can see there into a nice long pour and just the stream doesn’t break so 45 MS and then we’ve got Quattro otherwise if you’re on a budget and you don’t want to spend the money on Quattro buy a triple.

So I’m going to do a 3/4 shot add that to the Shaker and fresh Lem juice same thing 3/4 chop fill your cocktail shaker with ice and give it a good Shake now double spray into your CH cocktail glass and for the margarita just garnish with a lemon or lime wheel and there have a classic margarita cheers not looking forward to the Salt, it’s a lot of salt but for me definitely prefer it without

Salt the uh tequila isn’t overpowering uh not at all like it’s considering you’ve got a shot in a half it’s really easy to drink and the Quattro balances out the lunges I think equal parts of the lime and the Quattro work quite well as I said in the past like I’ve done only 15 MS of Quattro but this is really well.

Tips for the Perfect Margarita

  1. Use Quality Tequila: The top taste is 100% agave tequila.
  2. Fresh Lime Juice: Get lime juice away from the bottled, lemony, zippier variety.
  3. Adjust Sweetness: Tailor sweetness of syrup according to your taste to adjust amount of syrup.
  4. Experiment: Throw in some flavored salts, some fruit puree (prefer strawberry, mango).

Tequila: Usually a blanco (silver) tequila is used, but reposado works too.

Conclusion

The Margarita is a cocktail that takes the spirit of Mexico out of your glass and puts it in your glass. When it comes to flavors and preparation, the drink is simply perfect harmony of flavors and easy to prepare, it’s a go to drink for any occasion. And enjoy a taste of the tropics so grab your ingredients and from SHAKE things up.
